It was on Tuesday that the staff at Crow and Associates in Leavenworth first noticed it.

Mike Crow, an attorney at the law firm, said he hadn’t seen anything when he came in to catch up on work Sunday.

But there it was — a big sunflower painted in bold colors on the east side of the building at the corner of Shawnee and Third streets in Leavenworth. Though the staff had no idea who had painted the flower, Crow said they agreed it was a pleasant surprise.

“It made our day,” he said.
