Someone apparently tried to break into a rural Basehor residence by pushing open a back door window.

But it’s believed the person never entered the home, according to a report from the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident was reported at 6:45 p.m. Monday at 18020 Metro Ave.
