A rural Lansing man has been found guilty of first-degree murder following a three-day trial.

Word of the verdict in the trial of Matthew Astorga came from County Attorney Todd Thompson shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday, about two hours after jurors began their deliberations.

Astorga, 32, was found guilty of shooting Ruben Rodriguez Dec. 26 at the victim’s home in Leavenworth.
