The lights were dimmed and everyone sat back in their seats as “I.Q.” started ominously on a projector at the Landing 4 Theaters in downtown Leavenworth.
The feature-length horror-thriller, a nearly yearlong effort by recent graduates from Lansing High School, premiered to a theater full of friends, family and supporters Thursday night.
After looking into a debut at the Legends 14 Theaters in Kansas City, Kan., and finding it too expensive, the makers of the film, including brothers Austin and Aaron Keeling, Andrew Shafer and soundtrack composer Chase Horseman, approached Landing 4 owner Lawrence Wright, who was happy to host the premiere.
