A Leavenworth woman has been found guilty of aggravated battery following a two-day trial, according to a prosecution official.
Roslynn D. Bethea, 31, was convicted Tuesday for an attack on another woman June 4 at an apartment complex at 620 N. Fifth St.
The victim was severely beaten with several household objects including a box fan, canned food, a skillet and a wooden cane, County Attorney Todd Thompson said in a news release.
Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 11.
The case was prosecuted by Deputy County Attorney John Bryant. Bethea was represented by attorney Michael Willcott.
Bethea is on parole for aggravated battery and attempted aggravated robbery. The crimes occurred Aug. 20, 1999, in Leavenworth County, according to Thompson.
She’s been on parole since Jan. 30.
