The Leavenworth County Law Library is located on the fourth floor of the Leavenworth Justice Center. The library is open to the public for legal research purposes from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding state-observed holidays.

All law library publications and electronic resources are available to the public free of charge. Publications, only for use within the library, include published decisions of state and federal appellate courts, state and federal statutes and administration regulations, legal treatises, dictionaries and other reference materials, and books on a variety of legal topics.

The fourth floor lobby entrance to the law library is accessible only to people with authorized access library fobs. Before entering the library, patrons must report to the District Court Clerk’s Office, located on the third floor of the Leavenworth Justice Center, to check out a library access fob.

When checking out a library access fob, patrons will be required to sign a register and temporarily surrender their driver’s license or other state issued identification to the Clerk’s Office as security for the return of the library access fob.

If there are any questions regarding law library public access, please contact Steve Crossland, district court administrator, at 684-1026.
