Robert Leroy Gamber, a World War II Navy veteran, passed away peacefully at the Twin Oaks Nursing Home in Lansing, Kan., Tuesday, March 14, 2017.

Robert Leroy Gamber, a World War II Navy veteran, passed away peacefully at the Twin Oaks Nursing Home in Lansing, Kan., Tuesday, March 14, 2017.  He was 93 years old.
The family will have a private memorial. Mr. Gamber will be laid to rest with his wife Miriam in the Leavenworth National Cemetery.
His wife Miriam preceded him in death by three years.
Robert and Mim were married 64 years. They moved to Lansing from Shiremanstown, Penn. in 2001 to be near their daughter Terri.
Robert worked for Laurel Pipeline Company in Pennsylvania in their accounting department for over 20 years.
He is survived by his daughter Terri, wife of retired colonel Robert Ulin of Leavenworth.
