Janice Carol (Barnett) Kroll, 67, of Leavenworth, went home June 4, 2017 to be with her Lord and Savior after a short battle with cancer.
Janice Carol (Barnett) Kroll, 67, of Leavenworth, went home June 4, 2017 to be with her Lord and Savior after a short battle with cancer. She passed in her home surrounded by family and love.
Janice was born November 7, 1949 in Bakersfield, California to Joy Janell (Miller) Barnett and Lawrence Thomas Alfred Barnett.
Janice graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1968.
Janice married the love of her life, John “Jack” Kroll Jr. on March 20, 1971. She worked for several local companies over the years to include Homer’s and the Main Street Credit Union, from which she retired in 2015.
Janice is survived by her husband Jack, her daughter Kim Taylor (Brian), the light of her life, her granddaughter Maddisen Taylor, brother Larry Barnett, her niece that was more like her daughter Heather Barnett, two "honorary daughters" Jamie Baskas and Danielle Trautman, a host of nieces and nephews, many cousins, aunts and uncles, brothers in law, and her sisters in law Donna Lee and Linda Hund as well as her beloved furbaby RyLee Piper and several honorary granddaughters.
Janice was proceeded in death by her parents and Brother Michael Dean Barnett, and a host of family members that have been at Heaven’s riverside waiting for her.
Janice loved the Lord and her family. Anyone who knew her admired her bright smile and cheerful personality. She truly enjoyed going to Church and Bible Study. Janice loved taking Maddisen shopping and enjoyed cheering on the Royals!
A celebration of life potluck will be held on June 25, 2017 from 3-6 p.m. at the USP Staff Training Center located at 16055 Santa Fe Trail, Leavenworth, KS 66048. Janice had requested donations be made in her memory to The Leavenworth Cushing – Saint Luke’s Hospice (who’s support and care were amazing) or the Leavenworth Animal Welfare Society.
