Rosa “Faye” Lansing, 81, of Winchester, died Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
She was born May 21, 1936 in Swan, Iowa, the daughter of Ernest Floyd and Jennie Mae Mote King. Faye worked seven years as a Medical Aid at the Jefferson County Geriatric Center, now F.W. Huston Sr. Living Center in Winchester. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Valley Falls and had attended the Countryside Baptist Church, in rural McLouth.
She was married to Robert Melvin “Bud” Lansing on May 3, 1960 in Indianola, Iowa, he preceded her in death on September 3, 1997. She is survived by two daughters, Jackie (John) Klug, Ozawkie, Linda Stotts, Winchester, two sons, Michael “Mickey” (Donna) Lansing, Leavenworth, Tony (Lisa) Lansing, Easton, one brother Jim King, Leavenworth, one sister, Bertha Knecht, Bensalem, Pennsylvania, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by seven siblings.
A Memorial Service will be at 4 p.m., Wednesday, July 19 at Barnett Family Funeral Home, Oskaloosa. Visitation will follow the service until 6 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
