Thomas P. Martin was born July 6, 1949, in Leavenworth, Kansas to William and Kathryn Martin. He passed July 12, 2017 at his home in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Tommy served 17 years in the U.S. ARMY where he retired as a Sargent. He spent his retirement working part time at Wal-Mart and most recently enjoyed spending three days a week volunteering at Providence Medical Center.
He was survived by one brother, Ronnie Younger, one sister, Kathy Raney, two daughters, Tammy White and Alycea Gutknecht, one son, Thomas Martin, JR (T.J.) and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by loving wife Linda Ann Martin.
Tommy had a laugh that separated his from others. He was always in a positive mood, always smiling and always laughing. He was a man of few words, but so many laughs. His laugh was distinctive and contagious. Even when you were in the middle of Wal-Mart and heard his laugh, you would immediately know it was his and look forward to seeing him. No matter what mood you were in, just the sound of his laugh would cheer you right up. He will be missed by all he touched.
