David Christopher Visocsky, 83, of Leavenworth, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at his home.

David Christopher Visocsky, 83, of Leavenworth, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at his home. He was born Dec. 13, 1933, in Oak Mills, Kansas, the son of Steve and Edith (VanFleet) Visocsky.
On June 13, 1970, David married Janey Poer. She survives at the home. He is also survived by a daughter, Theresa Aufdemburge; two step-daughters, Renee (Kent) Logan and Ronda Hilton; a step-son, Kenneth Nichols; three brothers, Steve Visocsky, Leo (Verda) Visocsky and Dennis (Dorothy) Visocsky; a sister, Elm Siderwitz; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a step-daughter, Clovis Nichols; five brothers, Robert, Ed, George, John and Ron; and two sisters, Louise Pickman and Rita Cortney.
Visitation beginning with the rosary will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow are Leavenworth National Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Janey Visocsky.
