Rolla Marion Temple, 90, Leavenworth, Kansas, went to be with his Savior on Jan. 3, 2018.
Marion was born on Dec. 19, 1927, to Rolla and Mary Ruby Temple.
He lived most of his life in Leavenworth and worked at Riverside Resources. He was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church in Leavenworth.  
Marion was an avid Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed KU Basketball.  He participated in many Special Olympics over the years and loved going to church when he was able. Marion liked being outside. In his younger years he liked going home with his best friend, Ron Gast, on the weekends to visit Ron's parents at their farm. Marion loved to color and enjoyed arts and crafts. Marion celebrated his 90th birthday last month and enjoyed a big party with his Riverside family and cousins. Marion also loved Christmas and couldn't wait to set up his tree, enjoy the lights and music, and put on his Santa suit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Ruthella Temple and nephew Ray Temple.
He is survived by a brother, Larry Temple, of San Antonio, Texas; niece, Kathy Stein and her husband C.A., of LaCoste, Texas; two great-nephews and a great niece, several cousins and his Riverside family.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 1 p.m. at the Trinity Methodist Church in Leavenworth. He has been cremated and inurnment will at the King City Cemetery in King City, Missouri next to his mother and father.
