Florence L. Haling, 93, of Leavenworth passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at her residence.

Florence L. Haling, 93, of Leavenworth passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at her residence. Florence was born on May 5, 1924 to Theodore and Anna (Finneran) Dodd in Leavenworth, Kansas. On October 11, 1941, she married Deral E. Haling at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Leavenworth. He preceded her in death on July 2, 2004.
Florence retired in January 1995 after 19 years in the Dietary Department of the VA Center. She also worked for several years in the cafeteria at Immaculata High School. Florence was an avid fan of the Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs and country music.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Fenton of Lansing, Kansas, her son, Deral Haling of McLouth, Kansas, grandchildren, Eddie Fenton, Julie (Herbie) Glenn, Waylon (Erin) Haling, Willie (Becky) Haling, great-grandchildren Zachary and Ashley Glenn, Aidan and Avery Haling, Mason and Madison Haling, brother Donald Dodd of Easton, Kansas, and sisters, Jeanette Zielinski, Margaret Long, Alice Schneider and Delores (Joe) Urban all of Leavenworth, Kansas, sister-in-law, Kathleen Logan of Lansing, Kansas and many special nieces and nephews, cousins and devoted friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Lawrence Edward Haling, son-in-law Douglas Fenton, daughter-in-law Donna (Daniels) Haling, two sisters, Dorothy Bemis and Helen Marie Dodd, brothers, Theodore, Charles, Lloyd and Raymond Dodd.
A visitation will be on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 3 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 5 to 8 p.m. A rosary will be said at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Fr. Bill McEvoy, officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.  
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the American Heart Assn., Built on the Rocks foundation at St. Francis de Sales Church, or donor’s choice.
