Harold F. "Bud" Dougherty passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Tonganoxie Nursing Center after a brief illness.

Harold F. "Bud" Dougherty passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Tonganoxie Nursing Center after a brief illness.
Bud was born in Leavenworth, Kansas on April 13, 1934 to Harold F. and Frances (Blaser) Dougherty. He graduated from Tonganoxie High School and attended the University of Kansas before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Germany, and upon returning, began farming and raising cattle on the family farms in Leavenworth County.
He was preceded in death by both parents; niece Lisa Knox; nephews Ron Williams and Michael Moore.
Bud is survived by two sisters, Patricia Williams of Leavenworth, Donna Benson of Overland Park, Kansas; three nieces, Joni Mazurka of Naples, Florida, Laura Henrick of Lockhart, Texas, Angela Ramirez of Overland Park; one nephew, Kevin Moore of Jakarta, Indonesia. He is also survived by six great-nieces; four great-nephews; and many cousins and friends.
Bud will be remembered for his quick wit and dry sense of humor. We will miss him.
There will be no viewing or visitation. Graveside services will be held at Fall Creek Cemetery on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 1 p.m. The family requests no flowers and suggests memorials to Bud made out to Fall Creek Cemetery Association, c/o Quisenberry Funeral Home, 604 E. 4th St., Tonganoxie, Kansas 66086.
