Faye K. Campbell was born on October 25, 1925 to the union of Ecceslesiates and Dolliver Smith Campbell.
Faye K. Campbell was born on October 25, 1925 to the union of Ecceslesiates and Dolliver Smith Campbell. She was one of four siblings, a brother, William C. Campbell, and sisters Emma McHenry and Virginia McArthur. In 1949, she married the “love of her life”, George Douglas.
She was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church and later joined the First Baptist Church in Leavenworth, Kansas, where she was a faithful member until her health failed. She worked as a Domestic for military families at Ft. Leavenworth for many years. She subsequently was employed as a Supervisor at the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) until her retirement.
She departed this life on February 4, 2018 at the Redwood of Blue River Care Center, Kansas City, Missouri. Preceding her in death are her mother and father, Ecceslesiates and Dolliver Smith Campbell, husband, George Douglas, brother, William C. Campbell, sister, Virginia McArthur, grandson, Nathan McGee and great grandson, Jamont Conway.
She leaves to mourn her passing a sister, Emma McHenry (Leavenworth, Kansas), four daughters, Dolliver Iverson (Overland Park, Kansas), Jaunzetta McGee (Kansas City, Missouri), Yvonne Walker (Lee’s Summit, Missouri), Linda Waters (Raytown, Missouri), nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, nine great-great children, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Davis Funeral Chapel, 531 Shawnee Street, Leavenworth, Kansas. Visitation will begin at noon, with the Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Graveside Service will follow at Mount Muncie Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel.
