Lana Mae Kilgore, 93, of Leavenworth, Kansas died Friday June 8, 2018 at Saint John’s Hospital Leavenworth, Kansas.
Lana Mae Kilgore, 93, of Leavenworth, Kansas died Friday June 8, 2018 at Saint John’s Hospital Leavenworth, Kansas. She passed away with many loved ones by her side.
Lana was born April 27, 1925 in Brooklyn New York. Lana is the second daughter of George & Nellie O’Brien. She married Clarence E. Mohler in July 1947 and made the life changing journey to Kansas. They had two daughters, Judy Barbara and Jane Annette.
They divorced in 1972. She moved to Leavenworth, Kansas. She married James Robert Kilgore (Jim).
He has three sons, James Robert II, John Arthur and Jerry Allen Kilgore.
Lana was an active member of the Church of Christ in Leavenworth, where she lovingly spent more than 30 years in the Prison Ministry. She also spent several years volunteering at Cushing hospital. She was an avid reader of the Bible and other Christian stories she could get her hands on. She enjoyed traveling all over America
Lana’s spirit will live on in her blended family. Daughter- Judy Barbara Foster and husband John of Ottawa, Kansas, their daughter Joana (Jona) Leeann and husband Matthew Lloyd Weber of Dallas, Georgia, their two daughters Jasmine Danee Weber of Athens Georgia and Jessica Marie Vest and her sons Michael and Ian Vest of Dallas, Georgia.
Jim’s son, John Arthur and Ronda Lynn Kilgore of McLouth, Kansas, their daughters Ashley Nicole of McLouth, Kansas and April Janell and husband Joseph (Joe) Mahon, their four children Riley Garrett, Shane Carter, Lillian Grace, and Brooklyn Rose of McLouth, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of Christ of Leavenworth. Visitation will be Friday June 15, 2018 from 12-1 p.m., Funeral to follow at Davis Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth, Kansas. Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel.
