The Lord accepted Shirley McDonald-Wampler, 55, into heaven on Sept. 9, 2018, due to complications from surgery.
Shirley was born on Jan. 26, 1963. Shirley married her sweetheart, Randy, on Sept. 11, 1980. They’ve had a wonderful marriage for 38 years.
Shirley was a CNA and also worked in the laundry at FW Houston Hospital. She was a devoted wife and a second mother to all her nieces and nephews. She was a very loving and giving person, never forgetting a birthday, holiday or special occasion. She was an angel to many and will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Barlow, father, Eddie McDonald, her sister, Pennye Barlow, stepmother, Florence Ross and stepfather, Charles Barlow.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Wampler, who resides in Winchester, Kansas, brother, Michael McDonald, six sisters, Roxanne (John) Spenser, Lorie (Daryl) Hinrichs, Audrey (Kenneth) Allen, Debra (Jeff) Lakin, Judy Sassie, and Tammy (William) Khier, several nieces and nephews, too many to name. She is also survived by her best friend, Lisa Franko.
A Celebration of Life will be held at United Methodist Church, 4th and Main, Winchester, Kansas on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018 at 1 p.m. A dinner will follow at the Community Center, 411 Spruce St., Winchester, Kansas.
