Robert Holt
67, Lansing
Robert E. Holt, 67 of Lansing, KS passed away surrounded by family at his residence on August 26th, 2010.
Funeral Services will be 9:30 AM, Friday, September 3rd, 2010 at the Church of The Nazarene.
Military Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 3rd at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 2nd, 2010 from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM with the family present from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Robert was born January 25th, 1943 in Bonham, Texas the son of Ralph E. and Betty B. (Brown) Holt.
He married Connie R. Tilley on December 24th, 1963 in Bonham, TX.
Robert served in the United States Navy and the United States Army, upon his retirement from the Army he worked  at St. Johns Hospital for five years as a security guard, managed a motel, and was a district manager of circulation for the Leavenworth Times.
For his service to his country he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star Medal w/1 OLC, and the Purple Heart.
 He his survived by his wife Connie, two daughters; Lisa and her husband Chet Beerbower of Tonganoxie, Kansas, and Connie and her husband Bob Cummings of Lansing, Kansas; two sons Robert Eugene Holt, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Leavenworth, and Timothy Holt and his wife Jane of Ocala, Florida.  Seventeen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Two brothers; Marvin Holt and his wife Shannon, David Holt and his wife Deliah, ; four sisters; Janice Richardson and her husband George, and Sandra Jean Holt all of Mesquite, Texas; Frances Dodson and her husband James of Honey Grove, Texas and Pat Adams of Claremore, Oklahoma..
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step mother Patsy Walkup , one brother Ralph Eugene Holt, Jr.
 Memorials in his name may be directed to the church.
