Angelo L. Acosta, 57 of Leavenworth passed away Friday, August 27th, 2010 at Kansas City Hospice House.
Graveside services with the Military Honors, and the Color Guard of the Bureau of Prisons will be held at 9:00 AM, Wednesday, September 1st, 2010 at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Angelo was born on September2nd, 1952 in Maunabo, Puerto Rico the son of Juan Acosta and Gregoria Baez.
Angelo graduated from high school and then joined the United States Army. After leaving the Army, Angelo was employed for over twenty years as a Corrections Officer with the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Leavenworth, Kansas.
He is survived by two daughters; Jessica Lopez of Bronx, New York, and Jasmine Acosta of Leavenworth, KS; one son; Luis Acosta of Leavenworth, KS; one brother; Edwin and his wife Rose of Virginia, two sisters; Ana Velez of Virginia, and Gladys Pena-Hill and her husband James of California; two grandchildren, Damien Banks and Seth Zondo;
