Peggy J. Marks, Lansing, KS passed away Monday, August 30, 2010 at home. Peggy was born in Pratt, KS the daughter of Frank B. and Marian (Freeman) Minnis, Sr. On January 13, 1952 in Leavenworth, Kansas, she married Leroy Marks, Jr., he survives at the home.
She is also survived by her two sons, Gary Lee Marks (Peninah) and Curtis Alan Marks, Sr. (April) and one daughter, Debra Lynn Marks Newman (Alvin), one brother, Paul Minnis (Beverly), three sisters, Merienne Eloise Felder , Juanda Magby and Theresa Klugh (James), in-laws Clarence Felder ,Sr. and Josephine Minnis, three grandchildren , Quincy, CurtisJr, and Eric, one great grandchild Janell and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Peggy graduated from Pratt , Sr. High School , attended Pratt Junior College, later she became manager of Mode- O- Day in downtown Leavenworth. Peggy was an accomplished musician/ vocalist.
Peggy was most recognized as a Christian woman and was a very loving and compassionate person.
Funeral service will be held 11:30 A.M Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Davis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS.
