To the editor:
Although the new Dog Park, Wagga Wagga, located at VA Park, is not officially dedicated yet, it is being used by a slew of our residents. Brandi Briggs, Recreation Supervisor, along with Steve Grant, Parks Superintendent, have provided the community with a place for their pets to run free. They also have provided bags for fecal matter pickup and a place for disposal. This is another use of our wonderful parks.
Speaking of parks, I am saddened by the pet owners who walk or let their pets run in the 10th Avenue Park. Some of them allow their pets to soil the grounds where adults, and children practice softball, cross country, soccer, etc.
I am sure that if you and or your family members use the grounds, you would not appreciate stepping and or falling into such material. Think about it no matter where you walk your pet.
