The Lansing Lions cross country team began the season with a strong showing in their dual with Tonganoxie at the University of Saint Mary on Saturday. 

The boy’s team finished with a “perfect score” from the Lions having all five spots in the top five Terry Robinson came in first.

The girl’s team had five in the top 10 including Madelyn Bachtel finishing second.

Lansing came away with four of the six medals in the dual. 

“I am proud of our kids and look forward to the rest of the season,” head coach Josh Floetke said.
