The Leavenworth County Spartans wrestling team will be conducting registration Oct. 19-21. Each of those three days, wrestlers can register from 6-8 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran School gym at 320 N. 7th Street in Leavenworth. Cost is $100 per wrestler and $80 for each additional child in the same family. Payment plans are available and the cost includes a Spartans T-shirt, shorts, sweatsuit and USA Wrestling card.
The Spartans team is open to children from 5-18 years old. The coaching staff of Jeff Butler, Joel Bailey, Shawn Budke and Bobby Hancock boast NCAA experience and the team participates in events across the state.
The Spartans strive to teach values of teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, discipline, fitness for life, work ethic and goal setting through the wrestling team. As a county organization, children from all area schools are welcomed.
