The Diamond Jaxx scored a run in the bottom of the seventh of Saturday’s Sandy Koufax matchup with the Leavenworth Catholic School Raiders to take a 6-5 win in a back-and-forth contest.
It was the Raiders that got up early in the game, scoring three runs in the top of the first. Dustin Jostmeyer held lead the rally with a two-RBI single in the frame. DJ Hill helped the Diamond Jaxx plate a run in their half of the first.
Getting on the board in the first inning, Diamond Jaxx coach Zak Knapp said, was a key for his team.
