After a back-and-forth battle between the two top teams in the Sandy Koufax League, Dalton Warden knocked a two-run homer over the center-field fence in the top of the seventh inning to give the Bulls a lead they’d never lose. The Bulls took a 10-6 win over the Diamond Jaxx after plating four runs in the final inning.

Tied at 6-6 heading into the final inning, the Bulls’ Ryan Griffith lead off with a walk. A stolen base and a passed ball helped Griffith get to third, setting the stage for Warden to step to the plate. Warden hit his home run well over the fence in center field, earning a pair of RBIs with the swing.

“That’s his first home run this year,” Bulls coach Randy Heim said. “He’s come close a couple times too. He’s just a good athlete, a good player.”

The Bulls weren’t done yet though. An error allowed Caleb Morandy to reach base in the next at bat, Morandy taking second base with a steal. Daniel Broaddus knocked a single to score Morandy, Broaddus then stealing both second and third. Michael Green ripped a base hit to earn the RBI when Broaddus crossed the plate.
