A Lansing man drowned following a boat accident Monday at the Lake of the Ozarks, according to a report from the Missouri State Water Patrol.
The body of Donald Johnson Jr., 46, later was recovered from the lake by members of the Ivy Bend Fire Department.
The accident occurred at about 8:30 p.m. Monday in the area of a Stover, Mo.
Johnson and three other men were in a boat on the lake. Three of the occupants moved to one side of the boat. This caused craft to swamp with water, according to the report.
The occupants of the boat started to swim to the shore. Johnson went under the water and the others couldn’t locate him.
His body was recovered at 10:17 p.m. Monday, according to the report.
