Commission submits 4 names for judicial appointments

A nominating commission has sent the names of four attorneys to the governor for consideration for two local vacant judge positions. The 1st Judicial District Nominating Commission have forwarded the names of John Kurth, Rhonda Levinson, Clinton Lee and Geoffrey Sonntag for consideration for each of the two judge positions.

In some electoral arenas, Kansas is most definitely not a competitive state. It has not voted for a Democrat for president since 1964, and it has not sent a Democrat to the U.S. Senate since 1932.
