Lansing City Council briefed about new budget
Lansing City Council members were briefed recently about the 2026 budget, primarily about non-mill levy funds, according to Finance Director Beth Sanford.Her presentation included information about the general fund. For example, she had a legislative update, noting that beginning in tax year 2026, the statewide mill levies of 1 mill for state educational buildings and .5 mills for state institutions buildings will be eliminated.
