Three people were injured over the weekend in a crash near Basehor, according to an official with the Leavenworth County Sheriff's Office.

Three people were injured over the weekend in a crash near Basehor, according to an official with the Leavenworth County Sheriff's Office.

The crash was reported at 10:10 p.m. Saturday at 158th Street and Evans Road.

An 18-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, woman was driving east on Evans Road in a 2012 Buick Verano. She allegedly ran a stop sign while traveling 55 mph and collided with a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze that was traveling north on 158th Street, according to Undersheriff Jim Sherley.

A 14-year-old boy who was a passenger in the Buick car was transported by private vehicle to Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas.

A 16-year-old Basehor girl who was driving the other vehicle suffered minor injuries, but it is unclear if she went to the hospital. Her 16-year-old passenger was transported by Leavenworth County EMS to Providence Medical Center.

The driver of the Buick car was cited by deputies.
