A date has been set for a pretrial motions hearing in the case of a rural Linwood man who is accused of killing his girlfriend.

Dan S. Flannagan, 63, appeared Friday in Leavenworth County District Court for what had been scheduled as a pretrial conference. But the case was continued until next month.

Flannagan is charged with intentional second-degree murder in connection to the death of Constance Perryman.

Perryman’s body was found April 6 on property located off of 198th Street south of Linwood. She reportedly died from a shotgun wound.

Flannagan and Perryman had been living together on the property.

The case is scheduled to go to trial Dec. 10.

During Friday’s court hearing, Deputy County Attorney Joan Lowdon said she had discussed setting a date for a motions hearing with defense attorney John Bryant.

The pretrial motions hearing was scheduled for Dec. 5.

Flannagan remains in custody at the Leavenworth County Jail.
