A New York penthouse recently sold for $238 million, setting a new record.
It's the highest price ever paid for a home in the U.S., according to the Wall Street Journal.
The penthouse is located in a building under construction at 220 Central Park South in Manhattan, The Associated Press said.
Citadel hedge fund founder Ken Griffin is the buyer. He owns several other high-end homes, as well, in places such as Chicago, London and Miami.
The unit Griffin acquired in Manhattan spans 24,000 square feet and takes up four floors, the New York Post said.
The Wall Street Journal said Griffin began investing when he was a 19-year-old Harvard student.
