What is the annual Chocolate Event and how many years has it been going on? When and where will it be? Why is this the perfect event for people who love chocolate?
This is the 12th year for the Chocolate Event. It will take place at the Heritage Center, 109 Delaware St., on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is a tasting of chocolate heaven that any chocolate lover would go wild eating, from sweet to savory.

Where does the money from the event go?
The funds raised by the Chocolate Event benefit the children enrolled at the Women’s Community Y in early learning programs: preschool, prekindergarten, child care, school age and summer camp programs. Our programs help children and families build the foundation for success as they continue the education process.

What will the tasting event feature?
This year’s featured chocolate item is white chocolate cranberry pretzel nut crunch.

What kind of themed baskets will be available for the silent auction and door prizes?
This year’s Chocolate Event will feature a silent auction and raffle baskets. The basket themes range from a hummingbird and garden basket to a chocolate lovers basket to a barbecue basket and even a craft beer basket along with many others as well as many door prizes from our wonderful local merchants.

How can people get tickets and more information? How much is the event?
Tickets are available at the Women’s Community Y by calling 913-682-6404 or on our website, www.womenscommunityy.com
