A man was taken to the hospital after he was thrown from a vehicle in southern Leavenworth County, an official with the Sheriff's Office said.

A man was taken to the hospital after he was thrown from a vehicle in southern Leavenworth County, an official with the Sheriff's Office said.

The crash was reported at 11:39 a.m. Thursday in the area of Kansas 32 Highway and 174th Street.

A 61-year-old Topeka man was driving west on K-32 in a 1988 Ford Bronco. The vehicle went off the road. The vehicle went airborne after striking a grass berm, according to Leavenworth County Undersheriff Jim Sherley.

The front of the Bronco hit the ground and the vehicle rolled at least two times. The driver was ejected from the vehicle.

The vehicle came to rest on its top.

The driver was transported by Leavenworth County EMS to the University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kansas, for what are considered serious injuries.
