Local residents will have a chance to hear from their representatives in state government Saturday morning as the Leavenworth-Lansing Area Chamber of Commerce hosts a legislative update forum.

Local residents will have a chance to hear from their representatives in state government Saturday morning as the Leavenworth-Lansing Area Chamber of Commerce hosts a legislative update forum.

The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Riverfront Community Center, 123 S. Esplanade St. It is free and open to the general public.

Brandon Johannes, president and CEO of the chamber, said a breakfast buffet will be offered at 8:30 a.m. The forum will begin at 9 a.m.

Johannes said state Sens. Kevin Braun and Tom Holland have been invited to the forum as well as state Reps. Willie Dove, Jeff Pittman, David French and Jim Karleskint.

The event is being hosted by the chamber’s Government Affairs Committee.
