Numerous Easter egg hunts already have been held in the area, but a big one is coming up Saturday.
The Easter Festival and Egg Hunt is slated from 1-2:30 p.m. at 10th Avenue Park in Leavenworth.
The event is a production of Leavenworth Parks and Recreation.
The festival includes games, music, dancing, carnival food, petting zoo, bounce houses and face painting for children.
Vendors will offer a variety of activities and games for the children.
Of course, the Easter Bunny will be in attendance and lead the Easter Parade before the big hunt.
The egg hunt is for children 12-under. They will be split up in age divisions for the massive egg hunt, which will include approximately 8,000 candy-filled eggs scattered on the field.
There will be 10 golden eggs that will reward the finders with special Easter baskets of goodies.
Another Easter egg hunt will be held at Hawthorne Park, 1100 Ohio St.
Children 16-under are invited to participate in the free event, which will be held from 1-2 p.m. Saturday.
The event is a production of the Faith Evangelistic Center.
The Easter Bunny will be in attendance for photographs with the children.
The Easter Bunny will also appear at an Easter egg event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Lansing Community Center.
Twin Oaks Health and Rehab is having an Easter egg hunt for the kids at 10 a.m. Saturday.
