A Linwood man has pleaded guilty to multiple vehicle burglaries, according to a prosecution official.

Caleb Jones, 22, pleaded guilty Wednesday in Leavenworth County District Court to five counts of vehicle burglary, one count of criminal use of a financial card and three counts of theft.

The Leavenworth County Attorney’s Office filed charges in January 2018 after the Sheriff’s Office received multiple reports between December 24, 2017, and January 6, 2018, of vehicle burglaries, according to County Attorney Todd Thompson.

One of the victims had video surveillance and law enforcement officials were able to identify Jones as the suspect.

"We are very fortunate about the amount of security cameras houses have nowadays," Thompson said in a news release. "It has been a saving grace in helping us solve multiple thefts and burglaries."
