Looking for a great gift at a bargain price?
Then downtown Leavenworth is the place to be this week.
Leavenworth Main Street is hosting its annual Summer Sidewalk Sale Thursday through Saturday.
Each of the participating stores will keep their own hours, but most will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
The sales will be taking place at vendor tables located outside of the business establishments in the 28-block downtown district.
Leavenworth Main Street also is hosting its monthly Alive After 5 event on Thursday. The event, which typically takes place on the first Thursday of the month, was pushed back to this week after last week’s rains.
The theme of the July event is Summer Cool Down.
Numerous stores and shops in the downtown district will be participating from 5-8 p.m.
Each of the stores will feature refreshments such as cool drinks, fruit and more.
Several musicians will be performing along the streets as well.
Tickets are $15 per person and are available at the LMS office, 416 Cherokee St.

On Saturday, the Leavenworth City Market will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Haymarket Square, 7th and Cherokee streets. A wide assortment of antiques, gifts, collectibles and treasures will be sold at bargain prices.
The Leavenworth Farmers Market at Haymarket Square will be open from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Local producers will be selling a wide variety of homegrown vegetables and homemade products.
