The city of Leavenworth Community Development Block Grant program is taking applications for rent or utility reimbursement to human service nonprofit organizations.

Organizations must be within the Leavenworth city limits and be a 501(c)3 and serve low-moderate income residents as defined by U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development guidelines.

First priority will be given to agencies whose primary interest is housing, food or health and mental health services.

The amount of funding is still being determined by the federal government. Last year the city of Leavenworth received $47,969 to be distributed to various agencies.
