In Leavenworth, there also is a chance for snow.

One to two inches of snow will be possible Wednesday in Leavenworth County. Heavier snowfall is possible in Kansas City, Missouri.

Most of the snowfall Wednesday is expected to occur during the late morning through the evening hours, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 20s Wednesday in Kansas City, Missouri. But wind chill values may range from 17-19 degrees.

A winter weather advisory is scheduled to remain in effect until midnight.

The Chiefs Kingdom Champions Parade is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Kansas City, Missouri. A rally will follow, beginning at about 1:30 p.m., according to the website for the Kansas City Sports Commission and Foundation.

Many local schools have canceled classes Wednesday in anticipation of possible staffing issues and low attendance by students because of the celebration in Kansas City, Missouri.
