Leslie Marvin Hunnel was born on October 19, 1933 in Burns, Wyoming, to the late Walter Hunnel and Alice Melissa Noice Hunnel.
Leslie Marvin Hunnel was born on October 19, 1933 in Burns, Wyoming, to the late Walter Hunnel and Alice Melissa Noice Hunnel. He passed away on December 17, 2017 at the University of Kansas Medical Center at the age of 84.
Leslie retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons in 1989 after 20 years. He then began a second career building houses. Leslie loved to rock hunt and cut and polished them to create beautiful jewelry.
Leslie is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jeanne Hunnel, sons, Daniel Hunnel and wife Mollie, Michael Hunnel and wife Debbie, Kenneth Hunnel and wife Cindy, daughter Laurie Pfantz and husband Doug and two step-children, Brenden Wells and wife Lydia, Daniaell Murphy and husband Martin. He has nine grandchildren and six step-grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Walter Hunnel and daughter, Karin Hunnel, brothers, Jasper Hunnel, Harold Hunnel, Evert Hunnel, Charles Hunnel and sisters, Alice Hunnel Beaver, Fern Hunnel, Nola Hunnel Lamar.
Leslie leaves a hole in the hearts of those who loved him and will be sadly missed.
