Sherman LeRoy Harvey, 73, of Leavenworth, died, Saturday, June 9, 2018, at his home. He was born Dec. 2, 1944, in Leavenworth, the son of Sherman L. and Hortense L. (Williams) Harvey Sr.
He graduated from Leavenworth High School.
Sherman is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Harris) Harvey of the home. He is also survived by three sons, Tyrone (Wanda) Harvey, Sherman (Jessica) Harvey and Steven (Ellie) Harvey; six daughters, Stephanie Harvey, Stacie Oliver, Stephanie (John) Thomas, Angelina Hunley, Rosalyn Lewis and Reeshemah (Bruce) Richards; two sisters, Charlotte Berry and Shirley (John) Stillman; a brother, Carl L. (Deborah) Patton; 23 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces, nephews and friends.
Sherman was preceded in death by his parents, his maternal grandmother; and two sisters, Angela Duncan and Linda Patton.
He worked at Hallmark Cards, Select Products and Tension Envelope as a graphic designer and printer. Sherman also worked as a school bus driver after retirement until he became ill.
Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Muncie Cemetery.
