Freda L. Mahle was born Nov. 27, 1922, in Easton, Kansas, to Earl Leon and Ora Marie (Urban) Lee.
Freda L. Mahle was born Nov. 27, 1922, in Easton, Kansas, to Earl Leon and Ora Marie (Urban) Lee. She was married on June 16, 1946, to Gerald Clinton Mahle. She joined her husband, Gerald, her parents, and her brothers, Alfred, Delbert, and Bob, in Heaven on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018.
Freda’s joy was in being a wife and mother. She worked on airplane engines at Pratt & Whitney during WWII, as a bookkeeper at KU Medical Center, and as an executive secretary at Midwest Research Institute. Freda was a member of Nall Avenue Church of the Nazarene.
Freda will be dearly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Douglas Kuster; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Erika Kuster and Luke Fast; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Ryan Kuster and Hayley Gotwald; and her sister, Leora Benson, and brother, Norman Lee. She also leaves behind her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of Freda’s life will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 at Davis Funeral Chapel, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., and funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens Cemetery, Shawnee, Kansas.
