Linda M. Hund, 64, Leavenworth, went home to here Lord and Savior on March 14, 2019 at her residence after a long battle with COPD. Linda was born in Leavenworth on Aug. 11, 1954 to John Joseph Kroll Sr and Dorothy Lee (Sanders) Kroll. She is one of seven children. On March 3, 1973, she married Richard Joseph Hund. Other than a short time in Cameron Missouri, Leavenworth was always Linda’s home. Linda was a strong, fun loving and faith filled Christian wife, mom, Nana, sister, aunt and friend. She worked for Leavenworth County in the Registrar of Deeds office, the City of Leavenworth in the City Clerk’s office, then moving into Municipal Court as court clerk and at Leavenworth High School as the school accountant. In 2002, Linda lovingly chose to stay at home with her mother in law and be her care taker during her illness, until her death shortly after. As Linda’s father in law’s health began to deteriorate, she again stepped up to be his care taker until his death.
Linda has always put her family and friends above herself. She felt that her purpose in life was to love and care for the family our Lord entrusted to her. She was the strongest, most loving and unselfish woman to all those around her. Her hobbies included anything with family. In her earlier years she bowled, played soft ball, laved comping and fishing.
Linda’s family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice for the amazing care they provided.  Her nurse, Sheena, who had been a gift from our Lord and a bright light during this part of Linda’s journey.  She will forever be family now.
Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard (Rick) Hund, parents, John and Dorothy Kroll, infant brother, Joseph Lee Kroll, father and mother in law, Joseph and Helen (Schneider) Hund, sister, Judy Naipo, sister in law, Janice (Barnett) Kroll, brother, John (Jack) Joseph Kroll, Jr. and brother in law, Alan Naipo.
Linda is survived by daughters, Brenda (Chuck) Driver, Leavenworth and Theresa (Bob) Conroy, Tonganoxie, grandchildren, SPC Ronald (Ronny) Jarred III, Fort Lewis, Washington, Nicholas Jarred, Cheyann Jarred, Kelsie Driver, Abbie Bialik, all of Leavenworth, Robert (Bobby) Conroy and Michael (Mikey) Conroy, Tonganoxie, siblings, Dorothy Naipo, Donna (Danny) Lee, Marvin (Helen) Kroll, all of Leavenworth and Dennis (Joyce) Kroll, Topeka, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Linda was looking forward to being a great-grandma in May.
A visitation beginning with a rosary will be on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 10 a.m., with Father David McEvoy, O.Carm officiating.  Burial will be immediately afterwards at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials in her name be to St. Joseph’s Church (Restoration of the Glass Windows) or Crossroads Hospice, or Mission 22, which supports Veteran’s treatment and works to eliminate the 22 a day who don’t get the help they need.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Belden Larkin Funeral Home.
