Kat (Ryan) Dungan, 64, of Perry, passed away April 4, 2019.

She was born to Robert & Wilda Ryan, August 25, 1954 in Lawrence, Kansas. Kat graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1972 and received multiple postsecondary degrees and certifications in the field of Animal Science.

She was married to Mike Dungan on July 10, 1976, in McLouth, Kansas. Kat is survived by her loving husband, Mike Dungan of Perry, Kansas; sons, Michael (Shawlyn) Dungan, of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and Christopher (Jillian Braun) Dungan, of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Irelyn and Charlotte; parents, Robert & Wilda Ryan of McLouth, Kansas; sisters, Anah Mance, of Leavenworth, Kansas, and Susan Ong, of Phoenix, Arizona. She is also survived by eight nieces and nephews, many cousins, and countless friends.

Kat was immensely proud of her family, loved being a grandmother, and leaves behind only beautiful memories. She dedicated her life to helping animals and rescued many dogs and horses. As an avid gardener, Kat planted roses everywhere she lived. She also loved reading, campfires & S’mores, and always preferred the scenic routes.

A private burial will take place at the Wild Horse Cemetery in McLouth, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to Lawrence Memorial Hospital Health Foundation - Oncology.
