Bonnie Marie Poirier ("B. Moore"), 75, passed Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019 with her family by her side after a long illness.
Bonnie Marie Poirier ("B. Moore"), 75, passed Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019 with her family by her side after a long illness. Bonnie was born Aug. 12, 1943 in Springdale, Kansas and was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Farrell and Elsie Schwinn Farrell Harbour; brother, Charles Farrell and sisters, Jean Bogle, Betty Robinson and Donna Hunter. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Roslyn Burns.
She married William Poirier in February 2006 and he survives at the home. Other survivors include daughters, Monica Scanlon (Matt Walkenbach), Leavenworth, Kansas and Lisa Crook (Dennis), Easton, Kansas. She has four grandchildren, Brandy Burrows (Nick), Phoenix, Arizona, Dillon Scanlon, Lansing, Kansas, and Alyssa Crook and Connor Crook, Easton, Kansas and two great-grandchildren, Elsie and Kellen Burrows, Phoenix, Arizona.
Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, making flower arrangements and going to garage sales. She worked for Graham Clinic for 13 years, then owned several bars and lounges including Sunset Lounge, Cody Lounge and Bob-a-Lou's. She last worked at Armed Forces Bank, Fort Leavenworth, for 14 years prior to retiring for medical reasons. Bonnie was best known by family and friends for her work ethic.
Bonnie will always be in our hearts.Join us for a celebration of life at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019. A short eulogy and prayer will be at noon, followed by a reception at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home.Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation.
