Laurael Jo Loewenstein born Aug. 13, 1956 in Bel-Ridge, Missouri (St. Louis County) succumbed to her battle with colon cancer on Aug. 15, 2019 while surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones.
Laurael met her true love, John A. Loewenstein (Buddha) 29 years ago. After a few years of dating and Laurael proposing to John over general conversation, they tied the knot Feb. 19, 1992. John remained committed and devoted to his wife until the very end. Always showing unconditional love and support for her.
Laurael is preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Helen Palazzolo, sister, Gabrielle Vitale, and daughter, Adrianne.
She is survived by her husband, John A. Loewenstein II, sisters, Pamela Wallinford and Jan Mohr, brother, Dennis and wife, Debbie Palazzolo. She is also survived by her four beautiful children; son, Alexander Wiley McLaren and wife, Jodi, St. Louis, Missouri, daughter, Alizabeth and husband, Jeff Asher, son, Aaron and wife, Lindsay McLaren, and daughter, Alycia McLaren and fiancé, Steve Perrin, all of Leavenworth County, Kansas. Laurael also welcomed 12 grandchildren into the world; Kayla Hager-Wiley, Malia and Ethan Wiley, St. Louis. Followed by Jason Slicker, Brooklyn and Braksten Siam, Simon McLaren-Houseworth, Tucker and Graham McLaren, Anthony and Adrian Brantley, Alana Culbertson, and Nevaeh and Neenah Perrin, all of Leavenworth County.
Laurael had a great passion for entertaining and laughing with many at various family functions. She loved to cook and share many recipes with all her friends. She loved talking on the phone and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also very artistic. She loved to decorate and refurbish old and timeless furniture; she saw the value in anything big and small.
The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice for the amazing care and treatment in her final days battling cancer.
Services have been entrusted to R.L Leintz Funeral Home in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 23, 2019 from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral Service is Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019, from 5-6 p.m.
Following the funeral service, the family is welcoming all who wish to join them at R.L. Leintz Funeral Home for a remembrance dinner to honor and share the many memories they have of Laurael.
