Freda M. Walker, 90, Leavenworth, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, at the Lansing Care and Rehabilitation Center, Lansing, Kansas.

Freda M. Walker, 90, Leavenworth, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, at the Lansing Care and Rehabilitation Center, Lansing, Kansas.
Freda was born in Leavenworth, on April 3, 1929, daughter to Edna (Lallier) and Henry Stiglmire. On Sept. 21, 1952, she married Lowell Walker.
Freda was a member of the First Baptist Church and loved simple things in life. She enjoyed sitting outdoors, growing tomatoes, decorating her home, ironing, baking, sewing quilts, and shopping with her best friends. Every summer Freda looked forward to attending the Leavenworth County Fair in Tonganoxie, Kansas so she could enter one of her delicious pies and/or a quilt in the 4-H competition. Her pies won her numerous ribbons throughout the past several years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Walker, and her one brother, Henry “Albert” Stiglmire, and her parents.
She is survived by one son, David Walker and wife, Kathy, Leavenworth; a daughter, Gloria (Walker) Quinn and husband, Michael, Royersford, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Michelle Tippitt, Amie Kankelfitz, David Walker Jr., Thomas Quinn; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019 at the Davis Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday Sept. 25, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Davis Funeral Chapel.
Burial services will follow at Mount Muncie Cemetery. The family asks that memorial contributions be donated to Lansing Care and Rehabilitation Center, Lansing, Kansas.   Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel.
