Sherry Sue Hartwell (Parsons), 77, loving wife of the late Edward C. Hartwell, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019.

Sherry Sue Hartwell (Parsons), 77, loving wife of the late Edward C. Hartwell, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019. Sherry was born Oct. 14, 1942 in Leavenworth, Kansas to the late Myron and Gladys (Morehead) Parsons. Prior to her death, Sherry resided in Florida and was a member of New Covenant United Methodist Church and the XI RHO Chapter of Sigma Phi Gamma Int'l Sorority.
Sherry loved to travel and is survived by three daughters from her previous marriage: Karen Kendall Beagle (Bill), Christine Ann White (Todd), Kathryn Marie Van Riper (Eric), and her stepson Eric Rombach-Kendall (Julie). Additionally, Sherry is survived by her late, loving husband's five children: Dotti Shuck (Doug), Ed Hartwell, Jr (Roseann), Christine Hartwell-Jerby (Mark), Kim Arnett (Bob), and Doug Hartwell (Barbie); 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, her brothers, Larry Parsons (Doris), Jerry Parsons (Rosa), and her sister, Trudy Skaggs (Dick).
A memorial service for Sherry will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020 at First United Methodist Church of Leavenworth, 422 Chestnut St. with visitation from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with a luncheon to follow. Sherry will be inurned at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery at 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, 2020.
