Pauline Louise Grape passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020 in Easton, Kansas at the age of 98. Pauline was born on Oct. 15, 1921 in Leavenworth, Kansas.


She married Edward (“Ed”) Eugene Grape on Dec. 3, 1939. During WWII, Pauline worked as a welder at the Leavenworth shipyard. She was also a bookkeeper and co-owner of Grape’s Poultry Market and the family farm with her husband.


Pauline enjoyed traveling with her husband, camping, gardening, cooking, and in later years, listening to music and visiting with family. Pauline will be fondly remembered as a loving, humble mother and grandmother of her five-generation family.


She is survived by her children, Anne Louise (Bud) Bollin and William Edward (Gayle) Grape; eight grandchildren, John (Michelle) Bollin, Cathi (Sean) O’Malley, Chris Bollin, Patty Fuller, Mike (Julie) Bollin, SFC Jonathan (Hannah) Grape, Maggie (Gavin) Jiles, Charles Grape; 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.


Pauline is preceded in death by her husband, Ed; parents, Goldie and Paul Rodenburg; grandson, Matthew Grape and sister, Alice (Shorty) Hathaway.


Visitation will be held Sunday, May 10, 2020 from 2-6 p.m. at Davis Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be held Monday, May 11, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Kickapoo Cemetery.
