Nicole A (Martin) Bell, 42, Leavenworth, passed away, Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at KU Medical Center, surrounded by her husband, children and mother. She was born July 24, 1977 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Charles E. Martin and Pamela (Bacon) Henderson.
Nicole started school at St Paul’s Lutheran School before moving to Copperas Cove, Texas in 1984 with her mom and stepdad, Larry B. Henderson. After moving back to Leavenworth in 1990 she attended Leavenworth Public Schools. She is a Past Honored Queen of Bethel #28 Leavenworth, Job’s Daughters International.
From her first marriage Nicole has two children Thorin and Isaac.
On Oct. 2, 2000, Nicole married Jason D. Bell in Norfolk, Virginia. From this marriage came one child, Haley. As a navy wife she spent time with the love of her life traveling between Norfolk, Virginia, Virginia Beach, Virginia and Patuxent River, Maryland and finally returning to Leavenworth November 2008.
Throughout Nicole’s life she volunteered in her children’s school activities such as PTA, girl scouts and Trinity Lutheran Church Youth Group.
Nicole worked for Mid-Star Labs the last five years and truly loved her job and those she worked with and those she worked for.
Nicole is survived by her husband; her parents; three children, Thorin (Jordan Jamerson) Bell, Isaac (Kaleigh Johnson) Bell and Haley Bell; two sisters, Amanda (Dan) Winton and Rachel Martin; and a brother, Bryan (Lindsay) Henderson. Nicole was known as “Mimi” to her three grandchildren Gaelen, Vivian and Aiden Bell.
She was preceded in death by her matenal grandparents, Ron and Edna Bacon; her paternal grandparents, Emmet and Ann Martin; and her stepdad, Larry B Henderson.
